Khaled Abdul Rakhim

Head Director

Bringing over 14 years of expertise as a choreographer and artistic director. As the founder of Barrhaven House of Dance, Khalied’s vision is to create a space where dance fosters cultural integration and artistic expression for people of all backgrounds. With a career spanning over 40 countries, Khalied has worked with renowned companies such as the Lebanese dance theatre Caracalla and has participated in 14 major theatrical productions.

Mariam Al-Khasan

Dancer & Choreographer & Instructor

With over a decade of international experience in the performing arts. A graduate of the prestigious Damascus University Faculty of Dramatic Arts (Dance Department), she also holds a Bachelor’s degree in English with a specialization in translation. Throughout her career, Mariam has made a significant impact across multiple countries, including Syria, Ukraine, Sweden, and Canada.

Studio Director
Dance Instructor, Choreographer

Dance Instructor, Choreographer

Abby has been dancing since the age of three at the Grand River Dance Academy, training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, acro, hip hop, and musical theatre. She was a proud member of the competitive team, earning numerous awards over the years, including the GRDA Rising Star Scholarship in 2018, and was named Captain of the Competitive Team in 2019.

Beyond the studio, Abby has broadened her performance experience by appearing in a local music video and starring in a commercial for a dance competition. She is dedicated to building strong foundations for young dancers and is a certified Early Dance Educator through the Children’s Dance Method. She also holds her Pre-Primary and Module 1 certifications through Acrobatic Arts.

In recent years, Abby has enthusiastically shared her passion as a dedicated dance teacher and continues to play an active role in Ottawa’s vibrant dance community.

 
Dance Instructor

Katie started dancing at the age of 6 at North London Dance Centre, where she completed grades 2 to 8, intermediate foundation, intermediate, advanced foundation, and advanced 1 Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams. In addition, she studied grades 1 to 4 of both tap and jazz Canadian Dance Teachers Association exams. She was a part of their Young Company team for 4 years, performing in professional shows and festivals.

Her passion for teaching dance started with assistant teaching ballet and tap classes at North London Dance Centre, starting at the age of 14. Katie is excited to work with the Resolute Dance team to further their tap and ballet programs.

 

Performing Arts Instructor

Currently working at the National Arts Centre, Kass supports arts and cultural programming while bringing a multidisciplinary background in music, film, and visual culture. A former member of Le Groupe 17, she co-created original music and performed as part of a collaborative ensemble.

With an undergraduate degree in Film Studies and a minor in Art History, and now completing a Master’s in Library and Information Studies, Kass is passionate about storytelling in all its forms and dedicated to helping young performers build confidence and creativity through movement, voice, emotion, and character.

 
Dance Instructor

Jordana has over 18 years of dance experience, beginning her journey at just two years old and entering the competitive dance world by age five. She trained extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and modern, with a strong foundation in both the ADAPT syllabus and the Vaganova and RAD ballet methods.

Her early training at The Studio School of Dance and later at Canterbury High School’s Dance Program shaped her technical depth and passion for creative expression. While studying at Carleton University, Jordana was a founding member for Carleton DanceLab, she choreographed, taught weekly classes, curated performances, and organized the club’s first showcase at the Canadian Museum of History. With a teaching style rooted in strong technique and foundational training, Jordana strives to foster confidence, inclusivity, and artistry.

Abby Graham

Dance instructor

 Abby has been dancing since the age of 3 at the Grand River Dance Academy in all genres of dance and has participated in many competitions winning various awards. Most notably, the GRDA Rising Star Scholarship in 2018 and was named the Captain of the Competitive Team in 2019. Dance instructor

Jade

Kpop Dancer

Jade Fan has been learning Chinese folk dance since she was four years old and has a solid foundation. She has been working as a K-pop dancer since 2012. In the past 12 years, she has been insisting on showing the most popular and most realistic K-pop dances to everyone, conveying a youthful and energetic image to everyone.
